ERG. Today is Thursday and I CAN’T wait till the weekend! On Saturday, I have a birthday party to go to, then on Sunday, I’m going to shop for makeup. Lately, I haven’t had the time to shop, and I’m going to be buying new clothes for Québec, and start searching for makeup and hair products!
I went on the Sunsilk and Dove websites and ordered coupons, so they should be arriving within 4-6 weeks.
That’s too long, but oh well. What I think I’m going to get is the Sunsilk Captivating Curls Gel & Cream Twist. I have REALLY curly hair.
I’m mostly looking for products that’ll control the frizz because when I travel to Québec, I’m not allowed to bring a straightener or anything else, so I’ll have to wash, put on product and go, so it’ll look nice and defined.
I definitely need more lipstick, blush and powder. I also have to buy a cleanser and a NON-greasy moisturizer. It’s going to be a lot of shopping.
I DETEST clothing shopping. LOL.

Can’t Wait For The Weekend!

Tinted Moisturizer.
May 8, 2008I LOVE the idea of tinted moisturizers. People usually use them to have a low coverage make-up on their skin. But, I thought they were for bronzing the skin. So, typically, I want one for a low coverage foundation. There are a lot of brands, the ones I’m looking to buy are the Sephora one, Shiseido and Stila. If I can find a drugstore one, then I will buy that one also. I’m looking for moisturizing properties and sheer coverage without any greasiness since I do have moderately, oily skin. I’ll probably have to put a transcluent powder to finish it, though. Anyway, I’ll update on the tinted moisturizer!

Mascara.
May 8, 2008I don’t like to use mascara much just because I don’t want to have DARK lashes and clumps. I prefer a natural look in a mascara and I don’t like the hard feeling it gives my lashes. When I try to take it out with a make-up remover, it never comes off and my lashes fall out like crazy. It’s really hard for me to find that perfect mascara because I have naturally curly, thick lashes. I prefer something to help define my lashes and separate them than thicken and lengthen. They all clump on me. I’ll be updating on the mascaras I try and let you know how I like them. For now, I’ll stick to drugstore because I don’t like spending too much money on things like mascara.

Sorry Guys!
May 8, 2008I know I haven’t been updating lately, but it’s just because right now, I have a hectic life. School, homework, projects. It’s the end of the year, so of course, there will be tests to study for and all that stuff. It’s all really sad.
I am the laziest person alive when it comes to school stuff. Anyway, in two weeks, or 12 days to be exact, I will be going to Québec for a graduation trip from May 20-23rd, so I won’t be updating on those days, or maybe I might, if they have a computer in the hotel room.
I promise during the summer, I will update A LOT more. Sorry.

Global Warming.. Issues Anyone?
March 23, 2008Hey guys! Global Warming is a big issue everyone is talking about now a days. You may be tired of hearing it, but how would you feel if you were dead 10 years from now? Actually you would be dead, you wouldn’t know. Anyway, we live on this earth, and the least you could do is care for it, like your own child. I was reading the latest Seventeen magazine for April, and they have all these great little tips to help! They’re are also some stores that carry organic clothing and instead of using plastic bags while shopping whether in the supermarket or the mall, bring a cloth bag so you can carry those stuff in it instead of the plastic ones. Send all your old shoes, to Nike’s Re-Use A Shoe program where they will re-use all your old shoes! I’m done rambling now. Remember to Re-Use, Reduce and Recycle! Also, pick up a copy of Seventeen magazine! (I don’t work for them. ;D)

Dove’s Day Lotion for Sensitive Skin.. A Complete Bust!
March 23, 2008Hey my peoples! I’m going to be reviewing Dove’s day lotion for sensitive skin. I don’t have sensitive skin, just to point that out.

Let me start off by saying that I hate this product. First of all, they call it a “day” lotion, but it doesn’t have some sort of an SPF in it. It’s very important to protect your skin from the sun to prevent any wrinkles or skin cancer! Now, I have oily skin, and Dove claimed it was not greasy at all. I found that it was VERY greasy and oily. Also, I’m not too fond of the smell, either. I found that it made my skin create more oil (especially on my nose!). There is a bonus to this product, and that is, that it’s so gentle, you can use it on your eye area. This also lasts forever. I bought it in August and it’s March right now and there was still some in the bottle, but I got so sick of it that I threw it out. It probably would’ve lasted until the end of April. The bottle must have changed because mine doesn’t look like the one above. The blue circle is not there and the font in the blue circle doesn’t look like that, other than that, it’s pretty much the same. It also didn’t break me out (no product breaks me out, though). Not much else to say, but I hated this product, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I give this a 1/5.

Does the TRESemmé Restore Leave-in Cream/Crème really work? Let’s see..
March 23, 2008
So, let me start off with saying that I have super curly hair. It’s thick and dry. So, I bought this in hopes that it’ll help my hair a little. Well, I was wrong. The consistency of this is very watery and not like a cream as the name states. I put this on my damp hair and allow it to air dry. It’s very slimy after I put this on my hair when it’s damp. It doesn’t make my hair any softer and I don’t feel a difference at all. It doesn’t make my hair drier, though. It’s as if I didn’t put anything onto my hair. Also, I think that the bottle has changed because instead of the brown font, mine is blue. I wouldn’t recommend this at all. It seems like all the products I use don’t make a difference whatsoever. Anyway..

Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash/Cream Cleanser, is it all it’s cracked up to be?
March 23, 2008So, today we are going to be taking a look at probably one of Neutrogena’s most well known product.. Their acne wash. They also have it in the cream form which I will also be reviewing.

So, let’s start off with the regular version. Now, I actually finished this months ago, but I will still be reviewing it. Let’s start off with, my skin type, I don’t have sensitive skin but it is oily. I was looking for a cleanser to kind of help me with the pimples I have been getting recently. Now take in mind, that I don’t have acne. Just some pimples. I’m not fond of this product because when I lathered it, it would go down my arms to my elbows and end up making them dry. When I put this on my face, and rinsed it off, it did not feel clean whatsoever, same with the Cream Cleanser but I will get to that later. I then put on my astringent/toner, and it took out all the dirt that my cleanser missed and I could tell that it did not clean at all! So there was no point, I should’ve just put on my toner. It did not help me with my pimples and I would give the product a 0/5 because you were not doing anything to your face.
The Cream Cleanser
I feel the same way about the cream cleanser. I didn’t have any problems with my elbows but it doesn’t clean at all. I found that this cleansed even less than the gel kind. So I would also give this a 0/5. I have to say I like gel cleansers better than cream.
Both didn’t dry my face at all probably because it didn’t take any dirt out anyway! So, I would not recommend this product. Just remember, everyone has different skin types, so I’m speaking on behalf of all the oilies out there!
